thought I’d share some gore, be it ever so dainty, in anticipation of halloween. also, let this be a reminder to us all to floss regularly.
all part of daniela edburg’s “drop dead gorgeous”, read an interview here.

Not gonna lie, the gummibears one freaks me out the most.
I do appreciate the honesty, dearest pharaoh. I find the oreos the most disturbing. who knows why.
ah, the plath estate releases the death photo confirming what we all knew.
Sylvia was baking her long suffering husband a cake, but sadly, was a horrible cook.
oh holy crap that’s some funniness right there.
Thats right. Floss every night in between all of the teeth—but don’t bear down too hard against the gums becomes the gums are very fragile and important. Get all the way down but pull the floss around the side of each tooth, making a C-shape in the mouth.
Also, brush every morning and every night, angling the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle into the gumline and making little circles. Also brush the tongue, the roof of the mouth, all corners, and the gums.
And don’t forget to swish with water after drinking or eating anything sweet!
Happy Halloween!
bless you, dear brendan. you are a true advocate for dentistry.
These are, truly and in every way, marvelous.
STUMBLED!!
that KILLED-BY-OREO woman has a truly horrible
death face. Props to that model for nailing that.
and I love gummi-bears so much I would challenge
them to attack me on a picnic and see JUST HOW HUNGRY
I would be…I would go nuts on an invading army of
gummi bears….i REALLY LIKE THIS SET…
PEACE
ISAAC
How can I obtain a copy of these??
id very much enjoy if there were a more obvious reason the food killed them peoples. besides the bananas and the cotton candy, its a little vague. and perhaps the gummy bears could be a little like the freakin-weird-kill-yo-ass ants in indiana jones?
autumn - I did a google search and couldn’t find the artist’s own site, but there are a bunch of her photos available here: http://www.lifelounge.com/Daniela-Edburg.aspx
good luck!
but i do agree the oreo lady looked decidedly dead. kudos.
I like the cotton candy one best. It doesn’t suggest imminent death, only the threat of pink lightning and pink rain, which is scary enough.
For those who may be quaking at the thought of a gummi bear attack, check this out:

The gummi bears photo reminds me of ants, imagine that, not just a horde of ants crawling up your leg, but a sticky horde of ants crawling up your leg that have half-melted in the sun.
Wonderful portrayal of what will happen if you become too obsessed with a food, each one so unique and savvy, great work!
Ooh, death by cotton candy. I think I had that dream. Awesome.
This is creepy good. Take one with me in it! (Death by Peeps?)
Fantastic. I love ‘death by bananas’ especially. Is it possible to get a print?
That woman deserves whatever the gummi bears do to her. She has French’s Mustard to defend herself and decides to scream and rub her ass instead.
amazing.
Seen the pics in the festival of light in Buenos Aires, It was great. Death By M&M’s and Death by Hair-Diving are missing, and those are really good as well.
they’re okay. nothing spectacular. the banana one is pretty cool.
oh I love the Alfred Hitchcock reference in the banana peelings.
The other day I saw a ‘The Birds’ barbie. :)
The lady in the bananas one looks like Flo in the Progressive Insurance commercials.
The most dramatic one is the Oreos.
Oreo one is good! Banana one is odd same with the bears. Quite cute.
I go with stumbled’s comment but the cotton candy could try but id eat my way throw it!!
didnt think the death cake was thaaaat fantastic though… gonna look for this m&m’s death, must be a good one
yeah, the ass-rubbing does kind of ruin the photo. The cake one is pretty cool if it was an intentional plath reference
I like it a lot!
Why is an ICED cake in the oven?
I love the ‘death by cotton candy clouds’! When I first saw it, I thought that she had just plucked a tastey treat from the sky and was running to keep up with the fleeting nimbus of sweet goodness.Reading the caption kind of limited the interpretation for me. But the artist who did this is wonderful…and very talented. I love the other fun concepts too!! Very nice job!!
hello maeve - i can not *believe* that you are the first to notice that. that’s hilarity.
