a post-it-note tribute to ‘harry and the hendersons’

Tags: , , , , — by meredith on August 4, 2008 @ 6:46 pm

To avoid cleaning this afternoon, I made a short post-it note tribute to a cryptozoology Film that rarely (if ever) gets the acclaim and respect it deserves:

(soundtrack by the who)

I’m trying to decide if I should do Twins, Weekend at Bernie’s or The Forbidden Dance next.

UPDATE: sometimes flickr is crabby and won’t show my video, it’s also on youtube here (but its uglier/lower-res).

  1. I love this more than anything that’s ever been drawn and put to music.

  5. Genius.
I’m going to vote for The Forbidden Dance. When it first came out on Pay-Per-View, you could watch the first 15 minutes for free, and so my neighbor and I hunkered down in hopes of seeing some nudity (we were tiny pervs, what). There was none, just some vaguely sexy dancing in some ‘native’ village. Sigh.

  13. i remember renting this from krogers way back when. i found it to be abomination that should never have been put to celluloid. it was about this time that i started my “life is too short for bad movies” kick.

thank you for letting me finally enjoy what should have been a slam dunk of awesomeness.

and even though you did not suggest it, i think you should do my own private idaho next. i might laugh till the walls broke with that one.

  15. Holy heck this is awesome. I’m still figuring out how you dropped the song onto that piece, and of course, how you follow up with another song that tops that one.

  17. DC- I really am running out of good animation backdrop music (which must be mostly vocals-free and very rhythmic but not techno-y)

  19. Did I ever mention how much I love you? Now seems like an appropriate time.

Also, I second Weekend at Bernies. Perhaps with a Beach Boys soundtrack?
